ABOUT US
Island Tourist Products was established and run very successfully for many years by Nigel Spiller and his wife Ann. They sold the business on their retirement in 2004 and at the end of 2005 it was then bought by the present owners Bill and Mary Barnard. At that stage the present company was formed since when ITP, as we are known, has resumed its position as one of the leading wholesalers serving the Island’s book and gift trade. Whenever we can we use local suppliers to support us in what we do. The company also publishes the famous Perry’s Guide to the Isle of Wight, of which a new edition is imminent, together with a growing range of Isle of Wight booklets.
At ITP we are especially interested in developing products with an Isle of Wight theme for the local gift trade and in sourcing and distributing books to the Island book shops. We are always pleased to hear from manufacturers, inventors, authors and artists who may have products of interest to us and to our customers and are looking for representation on the Island.
The Isle of Wight is a unique community with a population of 138,000. Its proximity to London and the South East of England makes it very attractive to those who seek a slower and more relaxed life style in beautiful surroundings, without the need to feel remote and cut off from society. The island has always been prosperous and the influx of creative people from the mainland has enhanced the extensive island artistic community.
